Covid-19 Vaccine Information

*Effective 10-1-2025: The new season of Covid-19 vaccine is now available.

 

  • Parents interested in the COVID-19 vaccine for their child will need to have a discussion with their child's provider prior to vaccine administration. This can be done at the child's next well visit or a separate consultation.
    • A signed waiver will also be required.
  • If your child has never received a Covid-19 vaccine before, and they are aged 6months - 4years old, they will receive 2 doses of this vaccine, administered 30 days apart. If they are 5 years or older, they will receive 1 dose.
  • If your child has previously received a Covid-19 vaccine, they will receive 1 dose of this vaccine - it must be scheduled at least 8 weeks from their last dose.
  • If your child has recently been diagnosed with Covid-19, they must wait 3 months from diagnosis before they may receive the vaccine.

ALL vaccines are by appointment only and individuals must be a patient of Bloomington Pediatrics.

 

Please call our office at 309-662-0504 and select option 1 to speak with a pediatric nurse to schedule.

 


APPOINTMENT DAY CHECK-IN PROCESS

 

Please follow our current check-in process.

 

We appreciate your cooperation with our nursing staff to administer the vaccine to our patients in the safest manner for all.

  • Parents need to be prepared to assist in holding their child.
  • Nurses have the authority to decline to administer the vaccine if your child is uncooperative.

 

The above process will be the SAME for 2nd dose appointments.
